Skiing…one more time

Saturday, March 26 2011

So, we lied about being done with skiing this season.  Even though it had been warm here in late March, we had one last hoorah just a couple weekends after we thought the season was surely over.  The destination was Thuile, another Geneva Ski Club trip with a group of friends from work.  The unique part about this set of lifts is that it started in Italy but at the top you could ski down the other side of the mountain into France.  So, basically we were in Switzerland, France, and Italy all in one day… weird.  The snow was still crappy, and the consistency got a little heavy toward the end of the day, too (fun for Dave going down moguls in heavy snow on his 3rd time on skis!), but it was still a fun time nonetheless.

Here are a couple photos of the group and us all posing in the rain at the end of the day.  In the photo, from left to right: Chris and Jasmine (they went to Marrakech with us), Peter, Mike and Michelle (also on the Marrakech trip and London from last year), yours truly, and Jana.

And, yes, now that Dave’s skis are officially returned to the rental shop we can confirm that ski season is definitely over (single tear).  Until next year!
