Happy Swiss Thanksgiving!

Thursday, November 25 & Saturday, November 27 2010

Happy (late) Thanksgiving to all!  It's true, non-US countries frown on giving days off for US-based holidays.  Regardless of working on Thursday and Friday, we made the most out of our lost holiday.

On Thursday we attended a dinner party at our dog-friend Kong's house (well, technically Brian's house, Kong's owner).  One of our colleagues discovered a restaurant serving turkey to-go.  Everyone chipped in with a side dish of their own and it's safe to say we all stuffed our faces.  We even watched the NFL games online which give it the true Thanksgiving feel!

We know all of you Washingtonians will be less impressed with this, but we also got snow!  On Saturday morning we woke up to an inch or so, which turned into 3-4 inches throughout the day.  Very pretty!

Fortunately the snow didn't hinder Thanksgiving part deux.  We had planned for a Thanksgiving feast on Saturday with our close colleagues/friends and their loved ones and are happy that we braved the Swiss snow out to Jaime's house in Veyrier.  After dinner it turned into game night for the 7 of us and we all had quite the fun time together!

Saturday's feast...yum!

We hope all your Thanksgivings were equally as enjoyable. :) God bless!
